The Honorable Jackie Speier practiced judo at Cahill's Judo Academy from the third through the sixth grade and never forgot the principles learned from the sport of Judo. Fast forwarding several years, the US Congresswoman recorded the history of Coach Willy Cahill into the Congressional Records on July 19, 2013. The same day, the Coach was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by USA Judo at a Night-of-Champions event held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foster City, CA where 350 people from around the US attended.
