Gymnastics Coach - Singapore

Prime is one of the oldest and largest gymnastics club in Singapore, operating for over 25 years with a track record of producing some of the best gymnasts in the country.
We are a not-for-profit organisation, well known in the gymnastics community in Asia and Australia. Prime Gymnastics has more than 650 members and a team of 10 full time coaches. We offer a wide variety of gymnastics programs including pre-school, recreational, competitive, elite and adult gymnastics. Prime’s gymnasts and coaches come from numerous countries, thereby providing a unique and exciting global work environment.
We are seeking multi skilled coaches in the following disciplines and areas:
• Trampoline
• Rhythmic
• Pre-school gymnastics
• Recreational and Intermediate programs
• WAG
Job Responsibilities
Develop strong and productive relationship with parents/guardians and gymnasts
Track individuals progress and communicate regularly with parents and gymnasts, setting appropriate goals and targets
Manage and plan competition and pre-competition programs for groups you are responsible for
Work with the Club Coordinator(s) and other coaches in planning and delivering a fun, effective and inspiring program
Keep up to date records of attendance and lesson progress for classes
Ensure the safety and well being of all gymnasts with in your class
Ensure that all equipment is set up and used in the correct and safe manner and stored safely and correctly following classes
Plan, co-ordinate and organize holiday training camps and other activities outside of term class schedule
Provide strategic direction and input to develop the clubs programs
Job Requirements
Recognized coaching qualification(s) in a least one gymnastic discipline from a national body
Experience of working with children and young people including pre-school age within a coaching capacity
Enthusiastic and motivated to develop a passion for the sport of gymnastics in children and young people
Good interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (English)
Ability to work independently and part of a team
Previous knowledge / willingness to learn and adapt to the rules and routines for Singapore National Development programs as well as the Australian Development Programs
Working hours
Minimum 30hrs training, up to 40hrs including administrative duties.
Working evenings and weekends to meet class time table
May be required to attend competitions, meetings and other events in Singapore and internationally outside normal working hours
