Surfing Mag Interviews 5 From 'The New Crop' Some might say that '07 featured the best class of emerging surfers in quite some time, what with the dominant form shown by Jordy Smith on the WQS and the appearance of the new European wonder Tiago Pires among other notable rising stars. With that in mind Surfing magazine decided to gather five such surfers, Smith, Tiago, Dayne Reynolds, Jay Thompson, and Ben Bourgeois, whom they deem as "The New Crop", and interview them to find out where their heads are at and how it got there. The group interview was originally published in print but thanks to Al Gore and Uncle Technology (brother of Father Time and Mother Nature) the internet gets a shot at an extended version of that interview.
