The USA two-time defending gold medalists Kerri Walsh Jennings and Misty May-Treanor won in their first beach volleyball match of the London Olympics, again Australians Natalie Cook and Tasmin Hinchl, 21-18 and 21-19. It was a close match, two very strong teams. Kerri and Misty were going to go with the long pants, but then opted to change to the bikini bottoms with long-sleeved shirts - maybe that extra edge?! lol The match started at 11pm Saturday, in London - 63 degrees. Natalie and Tasmin chose to wear long pants with t-shirts under their bikini tops...interesting, kind of like bike shorts under gymnastics leotards, but for the top. Better not be cold right.
