The California men's tennis team put two doubles teams into the quarterfinal round of the 2009 Saint Mary's Invitational at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex Friday, Nov. 6. The Golden Bears also put two players into the singles round of 16 of the Red Flight before rain forced the suspension of play. Eighth-seeded sophomore Nick Andrews defeated William Schumacher of San Francisco, 6-4, 6-3; and sophomore Tommie Murphy advanced with a 7-6, 6-3 win against Michael Carreno of Saint Mary's.
