No. 4-ranked California women's tennis sophomore Jana Juricova fell in two close sets Saturday, Oct. 10, in the singles semifinal of the 2009 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships, at the Riviera Tennis Club. In a two-seed versus four-seed match, Juricova held the latter rating and put up a good fight against the No. 2-ranked player in the country, Chelsey Gullickson of Georgia, before falling, 7-6, 7-5. Gullickson won the first-set tiebreaker, 7-3.
