California women's tennis freshman Jana Juricova and sophomore Mari Andersson each advanced to the round of 16 at the 2009 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis singles and doubles championships on Thursday (May 21) at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. The No. 7-ranked tandem claimed their 21st victory together with a 7-6, 6-3 win over No. 12 Whitney Chappell and Alex Haney of Auburn in the first round of the doubles championship.
