No. 11-ranked California women's tennis freshman Jana Juricova advanced to the round of 32 at the 2009 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis singles championship on Wednesday at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. Juricova claimed a 6-4, 6-3 victory over No. 51 Katrina Tsang of North Carolina and will be joined in the second round by a pair of Golden Bear sophomores in No. 26 Marina Cossou and No. 41 Mari Andersson.
