Former Aussie Open champ McGregor dead (AP)
Ken McGregor, the 1952 Australian Open champion who teamed with Frank Sedgman for a Grand Slam doubles sweep, has died after a short illness. He was 78. McGregor, who died Saturday, had a history of heart problems and was diagnosed with stomach cancer less than two weeks ago, his family said Sunday. McGregor played on three winning Davis Cup teams for Australia.
