France up 1-0 on Romania at Davis Cup (AP) Richard Gasquet defeated Victor Hanescu 7-6 (5), 6-4, 7-5 Friday to give France a 1-0 lead over Romania in the first round of the Davis Cup. The 76th-ranked Hanescu broke to lead 2-0 in the first set, but Gasquet won three straight games to force the tiebreaker.
