Czech doubles specialist Martin Damm has retired from pro tennis at age 38. Damm teamed with Leander Paes to win the 2006 U.S. Open and a year later reached his highest doubles ranking of No. 5. He won 40 ATP doubles titles in a pro career that began in 2000. Damm told the Czech tennis magazine Tennis Arena he is quitting because of his age and recent poor play.
