Liverpool and their supporters will be in buoyant mood as they entertain relegation-threatened Burnley at Anfield on Wednesday evening. The Reds (14-6-7) stretched their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 11 matches (8-3-0) as they beat title-chasing Manchester City 2-1 at Anfield on Sunday, with Jordan Henderson and Philippe Coutinho both scoring goals with superb curling shots. The Reds moved up to fifth place after beating the Citizens and are now just two points behind fourth-place Manchester United. Coutinho has emerged a key player for Liverpool in recent weeks and has struck up a good relationship with stand-in captain Henderson and Adam Lallana, who is finally justifying the big fee the Reds paid Southampton when they signed the midfielder last summer.
