Peguy Luyindula headed a corner kick into the net as four minutes of stoppage time was about to expire and the New York Red Bulls salvaged a 1-1 tie with Chivas USA on Sunday, preventing Chivas from snapping a 16-game winless streak on the road. Erick Torres' first-half penalty kick and outstanding goaltending by Dan Kennedy had Chivas USA seconds away from ending an 0-13-3 run away from their Carson, Calif., home when Luyindula got his first of the season. Eric Alexander, a second-half substitute, floated a corner kick from the left side into the box and Luyindula went up and knocked it into the net past a stunned Kennedy, who did not have a chance. He made a kick save on a breakaway by Bradley Wright-Phillips in the 73rd minute, and nudged a dipping Dax McCarty shot over the bar and stopped a header by Thierry Henry in the final 10 minutes.
