The Barbarians beat Ireland in Limerick

After losing out against England a week ago, they put in a strong first half performance to beat an under-strength Ireland side 29-23. /spanbr /br /Cardiff Blues eighthman Xavier Rush captained the famous Barbarians on the night. He scored their first try before George Smith and Cedric Heymans crossed, with Brock James and Jean-Baptiste Elissalde kicking the points which got the hotchpotch side the victory.br /br /Their team included a few Irish players this week, with former Ireland lock Malcolm O’Kelly playing his final professional game, and Alan Quinlan on the flank going up against his countrymen.br /br /The Barbarians built up a lead of 21-3 before Ireland fought back well with tries to Niall Ronan and Tony Buckley.
