Cardiff Blues beat Gloucester at the Millenium
 Cardiff Blues and Gloucester met at the Millennium Stadium on Sunday for a match that attracted the sixth largest crowd ever for a Heineken Cup Pool match. The Blues secured a crucial bonus point-win as they took the honours in this classic match by 37-24. A day after a couple of dismal European matches, this game lifted the spirits again as the 27,114 crowd witnessed the Blues storm to a famous triumph, aided by tries from Leigh Halfpenny, Gareth Thomas, and Nicky Robinson. Blues number 8 Andy Powell produced a Man of the Match performance, and has since been rewarded with a place in the Welsh squad.
