Toulouse turn on the flair ahead of 6 Nations opener

New French head coach Guy Novès pulled few surprises on Thursday as he named his first matchday squad ahead of the 6 Nations opener against Italy on Saturday. As expected, it features a large proportion of Toulouse players, who despite their recent European Champions Cup disappointment, are firmly in contention for a 20th Top 14 title in 2016. Novès has handed a first start to the hugely impressive scrum-half Sébastien Bézy while back-row Yacouba Camara could make his debut off the bench. Among the recalled members to the squad are Louis Picamoles and Gaël Fickou. A former international winger himself, Novès gained a reputation for developing a team which actively demonstrated the renowned French Flair. And despite Novès' departure from the club two seasons ago, the team still play in the same sort of style, as they showed with aplomb in the recent 54-3 demolition of Pau last weekend. Max Medard finished off a superb team try which included fellow returnee Jean-Marc Doussain in a movement which featured forwards and back alike. Will Novès return France back to their good old days? Can they challenge for the title this year? Leave your comments below!
