Midway through the first half of Friday's Pro D2 second round match a little push and shove ensued between Perpignan and Carcassonne. It all looked fairly innocuous, but when something was said in close quarters, David Marty took things to another level. The fight was reminiscent of the 'old days', as various little pods developed and just when it seemed to be cooling off, another player would throw a sneaky punch. Once it did eventually die down, both Marty and Bastien Dupuy were red carded, and each side lost a player to the sinbin too. Perpignan won the match 38-9.
