Gavin Henson knocked out by punch from new Bath team-mate

Former Wales star Gavin Henson was knocked out by a teammate in a pub in Bath on Wednesday night. Mobile phone footage of the incident has emerged, showing Henson in an altercation with what appears to be Carl Fearns, who floored him with one punch. Due to injury and controversial incidents, 31-year-old Henson has done the rounds since leaving Ospreys in 2010. He had a short stint with Saracens before being given a chance at Toulon, but that didn't materialise after an altercation in a pub, where he reportedly insulted Jonny Wilkinson. He was suspended and released from the club. He later moved to Cardiff Blues, but that contract was terminated after drunken antics on a flight included the former Bachelor and Strictly Come Dancing star throwing ice at airline stewards. Out in the wilderness again, Henson then moved to London Welsh, but after they were relegated, he moved to Bath last month. This latest controversy won't do his reputation any good, and the incident is being investigated by Bath authorities. He is alleged to have been 'swanning around like he owned the place' at a local pub before being asked to tone it down. An argument ensued and as can be seen in the video, he was knocked out cold with one punch from what is alleged to be teammate Carl Fearns. Henson lay prone on the bar floor for a few minutes before he was picked up and seated in a chair in the corner, but was reportedly spotted talking with Fearns and the rest of the players, ten or so that were there that night, before they later left. Chief executive of Bath RFC, Nick Blofeld said: "We are speaking to all those involved to clarify the situation. When we have all the facts, we will make any appropriate statement."
