California Slams Santa Cruz, 84-3 Wielding a team light on experience but heavy on commitment, the California Golden Bears went to 3-0 on the season under the lights on Witter Rugby Field Wednesday evening, beating UC Santa Cruz, 84-3. The lineup, which included seven freshmen, generated 13 tries by nine different Bears, including a hat trick by winger Nicholas Maloney.
