Rees' incident took place when a scuffle broke out in a hugely physical Heineken Cup game last month.br /br /It's the same match where a href="http://rugbydump.blogspot.com/2010/12/xavier-rush-sees-red-for-dangerous.html"Xavier Rush was red carded/a for a big hit on Courtney Lawes.br /br /Rees was reportedly surprised when he found out he was cited after the match, as he couldn't recall the incident. In fairness, Hartley, who was on the receiving end, barely seemed to notice it himself. Despite that, a citing went ahead with Rees pleading not guilty, stating that any contact that was made would have been entirely accidental.br /br /Irishman Pat Barriscale, the Independent Judicial Officer, viewed numerous replays (more than what was televised) and heard testimonies from the players. He found that Rees was in fact guilty of foul play, even if it was reckless more than intentional.br /br /It was found to be at the low end of the scale in terms of Law 10.4(m) - span style="font-style: italic;"contact with the eye/eye area/span - but that still constitutes a minimum sanction of 12 weeks. Rees has the right to appeal.br /br /The following clip includes a tackle from Hartley that more than likely prompted the scuffle, with Blues lock Paul Tito clearly taking exception to it.br /br /centerobject height="288" width="400"param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/MQRrtcEAXi8?fs=1amp;hl=en_GBamp;rel=0"param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/MQRrtcEAXi8?fs=1amp;hl=en_GBamp;rel=0amp;showinfo=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="288" width="400"/embed/object/centerbr /span style="font-size:85%;"span style="font-weight: bold;"Time: /span01:11/spandiv class="blogger-post-footer"http://www.rugbydump.comimg width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/32316390-7808132311231240402?l=rugbydump.blogspot.com' alt='' //divpa href="http://feedads.g.doubleclick.net/~a/LgGGf0PqaNoFX_ac03hgSxWrkkU/0/da"img src="http://feedads.g.doubleclick.net/~a/LgGGf0PqaNoFX_ac03hgSxWrkkU/0/di" border="0" ismap="true"/img/abr/a href="http://feedads.g.doubleclick.net/~a/LgGGf0PqaNoFX_ac03hgSxWrkkU/1/da"img src="http://feedads.g.doubleclick.net/~a/LgGGf0PqaNoFX_ac03hgSxWrkkU/1/di" border="0" ismap="true"/img/a/pdiv class="feedflare"a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/rugbydump?a=MuFDPU3qpq8:rHGPQkUNYJg:yIl2AUoC8zA"img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/rugbydump?d=yIl2AUoC8zA" border="0"/img/a/divimg src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/rugbydump/~4/MuFDPU3qpq8" height="1" width="1"/
