(The European Championships were going to be at Portimao, Protugal, but the European Gymnastics Union decided to give the hosting job to Moscow again.) Podium training is over and the competitions start tomorrow (Friday). First up on Friday are the first part of the team competition for juniors and the all-around for the senior groups, individual seniors all-around competition on Saturday, and on Sunday are the apparatus finals for juniors and senior groups competition too. Alina Kabaeva is the favorite to win (the hometown girl from Russia!). Pretty much the Russians are the favorite to win here. There are photos of Alina Kabaeva on the Gym Chat multimedia page, check it out!
