Lori Pierce was introduced to the sport of Judo at the age of 16. At 17 she won the Gold Medal at the World Judo Championships in Rome, Italy. Two years later she won the Silver Medal at the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece. She was the only female on the US Paralympic Judo Team. Lori always wanted to go to College and was accepted as an undergraduate at the Univ. of Texas in Austin, TX. In December 2011 Lori graduated with a major in Child Psychology. Along the way she never gave up the values she learned in Judo. Congratulations Lori!
