California advanced four of its boats that competed on Saturday to Sunday's grand finals at the San Diego Crew Classic at Mission Bay. In the Copley Cup, the top men's collegiate race at the annual Southern California regatta, the Golden Bears' varsity 8+ took first place in heat A with the fastest overall time (5:54.60) for that event.
