California, whose varsity 8+ is currently ranked No. 2 in the nation, seeks to repeat its 2008 conference title when it competes in the 2009 Pac-10 Rowing Championships on Sunday, May 17, at Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif., at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center. The Golden Bears won the Pac-10 title last season after winning three of four grand finals - in the varsity 8+, second varsity 8+ and novice 8+ - also at Lake Natoma.
