Castroneves grabs pole in Alabama (AFP)
 Brazil's Helio Castroneves captured his second straight IndyCar series pole on Saturday as he topped the qualifying times for Sunday's Grand Prix of Alabama. Castroneves clocked 1min 07.1925sec on the 2.3 mile (3.7 km), 17-turn Barber Motorsports Park road course to lead a Team Penske sweep of the top three qualifying spots. Castroneves's pole position, on a track where he won in 2010, comes a week after he set a course record in claiming pole at Long Beach -- where he eventually finished runner-up to New Zealand's Scott Dixon. "It's all about team effort," said Castroneves, who came into the weekend trailing leader Juan Pablo Montoya of Colombia by three points in the series standings. More...
