West Indies slam door on talk of controversy (AFP)
 The West Indies have shut the door on talk about ructions within the side saying it is time to move on after the fallout from last year's disastrous tour of India. Recently appointed captain Jason Holder claimed he had the support of the senior players and they were looking ahead to a positive result from their World Cup opener against Ireland at Nelson's Saxton Oval on Monday. The West Indies are without Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard who were dropped from the World Cup squad after last year's abandoned India tour in a move which saw senior batsman Chris Gayle accuse the selectors of victimisation. Although their recent form has been uninspiring -- losing an ODI series in South Africa 4-1, being thrashed by England in a World Cup warm up and just scraping home over Scotland -- the West Indies are not short of firepower.
