Six-time series champion will be in New York City on Wednesday to promote the Chase Jimmie Johnson didn't compete in his foundation's triathlon Sunday morning, but that appears to be the only alteration to the schedule this week for the six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion. According to Hendrick Motorsports officials, Johnson is expected to fulfill his duties as one of 16 participants in this year's Chase Across North America that kicks off Wednesday. As part of the media tour promoting the 10-race Chase, Johnson is scheduled to be in New York City where he will appear on NBC's "Today" show, NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," the nationally syndicated talk show "Live! with Kelly and Michael" as well as "Power Lunch" on CNBC.
