Southard, Abel Join Sherry's Coaching Staff Julia Southard and Cassie Abel have joined the California lacrosse coaching staff as assistants, first-year Golden Bears head coach Theresa Sherry announced today. Southard, a former player at Brown, comes to Cal after working as an assistant coach at La Salle the past two seasons, while Abel, a former Colorado College All-American, previously worked with the University of Colorado's club team.
