The world champion, Patrick Chan of Canada, overcame numerous errors to win the Trophée Bompard in Paris for the third time Saturday, and Elizaveta Tuktamisheva, 14, won the women's title with a clean program that had the crowd on its feet. In pairs, Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov kept their lead to win the title. Ice dance was won by Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, who defeated the defending champions Nathalie Pechalat and Fabian Bourzat.
