The Nashville Predators have signed veteran center Olli Jokinen in their latest attempt to boost an offense that has lacked punch in recent seasons. Jokinen, 35, had 18 goals and 25 assists in 82 games this season for the Winnipeg Jets. ''Olli Jokinen is a proven veteran center who will provide us with size, leadership and offensive ability in the tough Central Division and Western Conference,'' Predators general manager David Poile said Wednesday in a team release announcing the move. The Predators ranked 19th in the league with 2.61 goals per game last season and missed the playoffs for a second straight year.
