I'm Scared
One day i was doing back tucks off beam and then bam my nose hits the end of the beam and now I am freaked out to do cart wheel backtuck off the beam when all my other team mates are all ready doing it. Well about 2 months after that my friend fell off the beam very scary just watch the video.

Here's the video embedded: (I just copy/pasted the UqRMtzLQWZw part from the url and highlighted and then clicked the youtube button) You need to rely on your practice, and progressions, and sometimes even go back to doing timers, doing it in the pit, onto mats, etc. asking for a spot, make sure you're not rushing to get a skill by yourself on the hard surface/without mats/without a spot, etc. and that your coach isn't rushing you either. And then when you go for a skill, be confident in yourself because you did all the practices, timers, and progressions, and you're ready for it. And when you go for it, go for it. Good that your friend doesn't look like she got injured from her fall. Looks like she completely missed her hands on the beam on her backhandspring. You shouldn't hit your nose on the beam if you set up high, swing arms up back to ears, then after your set bring your knees to your chest (don't rush the set and also don't do it the other way of bringing your chest to your knees because that will break your backwards rotation). To get more confidence, you could also try it in the pit from the beam if you have a set up like that, or if not, from mats (standing in for beam) to the pit. And also ask for a spot on the real beam if you want. Are you optionals? You can also change your dismount if you don't like it. Some people like front dismounts more.
