Oh ya, I got it, thanks. We do something similar: straight jump, to backwards roll, to straight jump again. :D
We do similar things-candle stick roll jumps(not backward rolls, though, candlesticks)
Some groups do timed running for 10 minutes, some are more laid back and don't time running, or are by the number of times of runs instead. And different kinds of running, like skipping, backwards, straight jumps, etc. Then warm-up with stretching. The run is good to warm up your muscles and help you stretch. Leg kicks are good for warm-up too. In school they tell us to warm up by stretching first and then run to not pull anything. lol Well, this is kinda different. :D
Our warm up: 10 laps running, 2 laps skips, 2 laps chase right foot, left foot, inside, outside, 2 laps high knees, 2 laps butt kicks, 1 lap of each toes/heels. Then we stretch, do splits, 5 back bend kickover, 5 back bend stand up, 5 mini backbends(from knees), and then 20 leg swings on each leg-forward and back. I get what you're saying. In track we do just a little running and then stretch and then do more running.

We do splits and then oversplits in warm-up and again at the end of practice, more oversplits at the end than in the beginning. Plus a bit of conditioning in warm-up too. Besides running, stretching, etc. Des Moines personal training

Warm-up is quite important thing before we do any type of physical exercise and workouts. We do splits and then oversplits in warm-up and again at the end of practice, more oversplits at the end than in the beginning. Plus a bit of conditioning in warm-up too. Besides running, stretching, etc.
