Who the word 'behave', 'behavior' etc. should be used on...
I don't think it's right when someone uses the word 'behave' and its other forms of the word on kids and people...I don't even use it on my pets. It sounds demeaning.

It sounds like you're talking about an animal when you say behave or behavior - you know like in those pet training things, they say, behave...but ya, I don't use it on my pets either.

I don't think it's demeaning. But it doesn't really say anything. It's too general, when someone says "behave" what exactly do they even mean by that.

Have behaved, both on and off the field, in a manner that has brought credit to the student-athlete, the institution and intercollegiate athletics.
I agree with bouncybars on the word use of "behave" - rather than this last requirement, doesn't it sound better to say something like "Having carried oneself, both on and off the field, in a manner that..."
