People are already practicing with bike shorts and a leotard, and even clothes that are not skin tight: Gymnastics Training http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ra-y9CgcBPA&mode=related&search= stretch pants and t-shirt Competing with a leo and bike shorts is a good option to have, it is skin tight so there is no real reason to not allow it.

Vanessa Ferrari competed in a sleevless leo at the Worlds at Stuttgart this year. USA all long-sleeve leos. More of the teams did the long sleeve leos than the sleevless tank leos. I would go with the sleevless tank leos, b/c like you say kat - it's better when you're hot and it's more comfortable too.

They've allowed tank leos in national/international competition for a while now (rather than just long sleeved leos). Vanessa Ferrari actually wears a long sleeve navy blue/black leo during team qualifying. Maybe during individual AA she gets to choose what to wear more, because you know in team competition everyone wears the same leo...usually!
