Little Girls in Boxes, to be continued
Too bad some coaches and gyms still try to raise robots for gymnasts - like the book, Little Girls in Pretty Boxes -- I don't think these boxes are really that pretty! Take for example, this article listed in the news feed on Gym Chat News, the direct link is: http://www.hernandotoday.com/MGBBRGT5ERE.html , called "Gymnast seeks national spotlight" . You can tell the author of the article, Tony Holt, doesn't agree with these kinds of coaching styles/methods at all! He calls the coach's talking or whatever "barking" lol! Probably the correct terminology, ya, unfortunately for those little girls. And what kind of person are they raising and teaching the gymnast to be? Shy, a door mat, unconfident. Really!! Yuck.

..The one cent question is does coaches shouting mean caring.....one cent cuz the answer is like duh, NO! Sucks to be in that gym. No one "barks" at my gym. If they are shouting it's so you can hear them from the other side of the gym, and we can do that too, so, it's not like anything negative. And we win competitions too! Imagine that  The funny thing in that article is that the coach has to tell the girl, "remember what you wrote, that I'm the best coach....", ya must be true then

it's like getting a fly off of someone's head by throwing a shoe at it!

Hopefully this coach isn't like this teacher in a school that makes her student workout for an hour in the heat outside and won't let them get a drink! http://life.familyeducation.com/safety/parents-and-school/42239.html That really would be counterproductive.
