"Bring it On - All Or Nothing" tv movie on! (Cheer
The Bring it On #3 cheerleading movie is on the abc family channel now. It's cool! Great gymnastics cheerleading moves. The cheerleading helicopter move does look dangerous like they said - risky for the catchers not to catch the flyer - anyone know if they do that move in the cheerleading all stars? it's kind of funny that a throw twist with some flips is less dangerous and risky, but it does make sense - with the helicopter move the flyer isn't going just up and down, but there's the rotational spin that could change the center of the catch. in case you're wondering, the helicopter move is where the flyer is lying horizontal up in the air and then the cathcers throw her up and spin her 360 and then catch her.

the helicopter move is illegal in high school cheerleading From: AACCA: American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators - http://www.aacca.org/hssafety.asp Helicopter Toss - A stunt in which the top person is tossed into the air and rotates more than 180 degrees parallel to the ground in the same motion as a helicopter blade. (they just changed it to 180 degrees, probably from 360 degrees) W. Helicopter tosses are prohibited. So is cheerleading with a cast: K. Supports, braces, etc., which are hard and unyielding or have rough edges or surfaces must be appropriately covered. A participant wearing a cast (excluding a properly covered air cast) shall not be involved in a stunts, pyramids, tosses or tumbling. (new rule for 2006-2007) helicopter move is also illegal in all-star cheerleading: From USASF: U.S. All Star Federation for Cheer & Dance Teams - https://secure.usasf.net/frmDefault.aspx?cn=0708Rules.htm#General_Safety_Guidelines_ C. Helicopters are not allowed. And college: http://www.aacca.org/collegesafety.asp they define the helipcopter toss as: Helicopter Toss

Yeah. It's also illegal to have pyramids more than two people high in HS. I'm pretty sure that it is also illegal not to have a coach or sponsor for any type of school-sponsored oragnization.
