Anastasia Guseva will miss the Beijing Olympics as she is banned until November (for one year, from November 2006-2007, tested positive for the diuretic furosemide at the 2006 World Gymnasiade in Athens June 2006) and will miss the qualifying event for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, which is the rhythmic world championships in Patras, Greece on September 19-23, as the FIG announced Monday in a statement.
You wouldn't really think doping like that would happen in rhythmic gymnastics would you? Seems like its more flexibility than strength especially in rhythmic gymnastics.
