Anyone know why you aren't allowed to wear nail polish in the artistic gymnastics competitions? Is it the same rule in rhythmic, trampoline, tumbling, and acrobatic gymnastics?

I heard you can't wear colored nail polish in competitions because they say it is distracting, clear nail polish is ok though. It's weird. Make-up is allowed and even probably expected, but no colored nail polish.

Yup, I heard that colored nail polish isn't allowed because it's distracting to the judges too.

I know. I hate not having my nails painted-I go through so much nail polish remover during meet season.
