If you watched the 2010 Rotterdam World Championships, men's gymnastics team finals on Universal Sports tv Thursday evening, you might have caught the commercial on the bogus product 'iRenew', a bracelet that supposedly top sport athletes wear to supposedly increase their game. Keyword here: 'supposedly'. Among its claims:
-it emits "natural frequencies that your body responds to"
-it helps you "get your balance", be "stronger and more flexible"
-athletes spend hundreds, thousands of dollars on this item, but you can get it for only $19.99 - and you get a free one with your order
They show a bunch of bogus demonstrations to 'prove' the product's 'effectiveness' and their claims, offering a money back guarantee if the product doesn't do everything for you that you see on the commercial...come on Universal Sports - do you not review commercials before airing them on tv? It was almost unbelievable to watch, like it was a joke...it's 2010...come on...Is it all about the bottom line? Or just a mistake? A slip through the cracks?
