Looking at their board after the first round of the NFL Draft ended, the New York Giants saw an opportunity. Alabama safety Landon Collins was there and sticking out, a talented player with a chip on his shoulder who could fit a gaping hole in the defense. The Crimson Tide star had been projected as a first-round pick and slipped. So the Giants went to work and engineered a trade with the Tennessee Titans before the start of the second round on Friday and selected the safety with 33rd pick overall.
