Linebacker and special teams standout Blake Costanzo has rejoined the San Francisco 49ers, 2 1/2 years after leaving the organization to play for the Chicago Bears. Costanzo's agent, David Canter, announced Tuesday that the free agent had signed with a post on Twitter and the 49ers later said Costanzo was back on a one-year contract. The 30-year-old Costanzo played 16 games for Chicago last season and finished with nine tackles and a forced fumble while also contributing on special teams.
