Colts coach Chuck Pagano has a simple plan for surviving the first four games without Robert Mathis. One day after Indianapolis learned the 2013 NFL sacks champion had been suspended for violating the league's performance-enhancing substance policy, Pagano insisted the Colts could and would survive again - this time minus their best defensive player. ''Somebody will take advantage of the opportunity to show up and play great football,'' the Colts coach said Saturday, the second day of rookie minicamp. When the Colts opted not to re-sign perennial Pro Bowler Dwight Freeney during the 2013 offseason, Mathis finished with a franchise-record 19 1/2 sacks.
