Keith Wenning threw for 299 yards and four touchdowns and Horactio Banks had 11 carries for a career-high 143 yards and a score to help Ball State beat Central Michigan 44-24 on Wednesday night. The Cardinals (9-1, 6-0 Mid-American Conference) have won seven straight since falling at North Texas on Sept. 14. They are at No. 22 Northern Illinois (9-0, 5-0) next Wednesday night in a key West Division game and will close the regular season at home against Miami of Ohio on Nov. 19. ''We are very happy to get a win tonight, to be 9-1 at this point and to continue to be in the hunt for a championship,'' Ball State coach Pete Lembo said.
