The US controversy after US Olympic Diving selection camp:
The U.S. finished fourth in women's 3-meter synchro springboard and fifth in men's 10-meter synchro platform. The Americans are trying to avoid a second consecutive medals shut out at the Olympics.
After being chosen at a post-trials selection camp, Dunnichay and Ishimatsu survived a legal challenge from teammate Laura Wilkinson and her synchro partner Jessica Livingston. They sought to compete in 10-meter synchro, but an arbitrator sided with USA Diving's selection.
"We were not thinking about that. We can't worry about anything outside of diving," Dunnichay said, adding they felt no extra pressure.
"There's no proving anything. We're here. We did all we could."
