While the competitive coaching staff is very professional, this club is very disorganized and has poor customer service and communication. The recreational staff has little knowledge of current proper techniques and seem to change from class to class. Complaints, comments or inquiries are handled bitterly if at all.

Midwest offers a really great recreational and Team Gymnastics program. Staff is professional, and yet still makes you feel like you are the customer. Ongoing training, structured programs, friendly open staff & the Trampoline and Tumbling program is the best around make this the one to beat in The Midwest. This gym is truly second to none.

This place felt neither like a business (which implies that the place is run in a organized, systematic matter) nor a family (which suggests interaction and a caring and productive environment); my daughter was miserable there and--although I have taught my kids that quitting is not acceptable--I took her out before her session was over. My daughter was bored, learning nothing except how to sit down and chat (which she could have done without me paying an arm and leg for!), and often felt intimidated and uninspired by her instructor who was about 2 years older than her. I do NOT recommend that you take your child here, unless you are interested in wasting money and your child's time.

I disagree with the few negative comments from the previous person. It is a wonderful facility. There are no children coaching, only qualified adults that my children love to learn from. The gym is clean and has the best equipment. We have been to another gym in Highland before, and this facility surpasses anything that I have ever seen. I have never seen teams practicing so hard and with such skill....I hope my children can reach that level one day. Thank you for moving into Northwest Indiana.

I was thrilled when I found this place. My 2 kids have been nothing but happy with their classes and I have been nothing but happy with the facility. They have a great coaching staff, equipment and atmosphere. My rating for business vs family is only because, it is my opinion that when a business begins to feel too much like a family, people start to expect special perks. While the people here are friendly and welcoming, they are professional and business like. Is the place perfect? No, but it's perfect for us. I think the area is very lucky to have a facility like this. I wish more people would enjoy what they have to offer.

My girlfriend told me about this site. Both of my kids come here - my daughter does trampoline & tumbling and my son skates. We have been coming here for over two years and couldn't be happier. Any naysayers are the ones who don't take the time to read the contract and complain about things they should already know or they are the ones who think they know better than the coaches how their children should be trained. My children have learned so much and I am thankful for the professional coaching and caring staff for all they do. Having a great place like this in our area is amazing - it's too bad more people don't appreciate it or take advantage of it.

My granddaughter does T&T here at Midwest. She loves the coaches and she is learning a lot. The coaches here are amazing. The facility is great. The majority of the office staff is great. The owner has a reputation for being rude to customers she disagrees with and shows a lot of favoritism towards certain staff and customers. Despite this, the arena and coaching are what is the most important and these aspects are wonderful. It's worth putting up with the rest of it!

With my 2 kids, I feel as though I live in my car and at Midwest. It's a great facility. The coaching staff is wonderful. I get tired of hearing people complain about the management. It's a business, people!! If my husbands customers don't pay him, he can't pay his employees or pay his bills - they want to get paid as, I'm sure, the people who work at Midwest want to get their paychecks and management wants to pay its bills. If you're stupid enough to sign a contract which states when you pay, how much you pay and how to cancel your classes and you don't read it DO NOT blame the business. Blame yourself. It's not rocket science, people. My family and I have been nothing but happy with Midwest. Everyone has always been kind. Sorry for being so grumpy about this but I'm sick of everyone whining.

I love this place!!! There is something for everyone here. There is a great ice area staffed with coached that have decades of experience. The gymnastics facility is well equiped, very clean, and Olympic worthy coaches. The fitness center has only the top of the line equipment in perfect condition. It even has a concession stand and a party room for the little ones to enjoy. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. As a parent I could not have asked for a better recreation center to take my whole family to. Many more visits to Midwest Training and Ice for us!!!! :)
