UC Davis head wrestling coach Lennie Zalesky announced Wednesday that former University of Illinois standout Alex Tirapelle has been named assistant coach and will join the staff in July. Tirapelle comes to UC Davis after spending seven years at Illinois as a student-athlete and graduate student.
