some commentary / highlights -
it's an all men's event - 6 college teams, it doesn't have the dance and music like in the women's events, but the broadcast was pretty good - not that much commercials, some sponsors time, and they showed lots of gymnasts' routines back to back - one commentator (the guy) knew what he was talking about, and the other commentator (the woman) didn't know - the typical set-up...
ok some highlights: one guy I think from Stanford did a high bar routine with just one relatively simple release move and some piroutte, inverted bar moves, and then did a triple back tuck dismount - but didn't land it / under-rotated it - he kind of landed his head down, but he was ok.
-another guy did a quad twist - it was cool - the triple back attempt was cool too.
-they made a big deal about one of the gymnasts doing a yurchenko double layout and said not that many do it in the collegiate level
-they also said a lot of the gymnasts at the meet are contenders for the Beijing 2008 Olympics
-Jonathan Hornton got named the gymnast of the competition for his high scores
