The Colorado Rockies have acquired right-hander Jose Contreras from the Chicago White Sox for cash and minor league righty Brandon Hynick. The Rockies, tied for the NL wild-card lead with San Francisco, made the trade before Monday's midnight EST deadline for postseason eligibility.
