The Cal baseball team struggled Saturday at Evans Diamond versus Washington State, only registering five hits and giving up 11 runs in an 11-0 loss to the Cougars. The Golden Bears fell to 13-10 overall and 2-3 in the Pac-10. WSU, which finished with 16 hits, improved to 10-11 and 2-0 in league play. Five different players - sophomore shortstop Brian Guinn, junior first baseman Blake Smith, sophomore right fielder Mark Canha, freshman left fielder Danny Oh, and sophomore pinch hitter Dwight Tanaka - had hits for Cal.
