Matt Wieters was sitting around for more than five hours when Orioles manager Buck Showalter summoned him to handle an extremely difficult task: Go to plate as a pinch-hitter to face Aroldis Chapman, who regularly busts the radar gun at over 100 mph. Wieters followed a lengthy rain delay with a tiebreaking two-run, pinch-hit single in the eighth inning, and Baltimore rallied past the New York Yankees 3-1 Sunday. Trailing 1-0 in the eighth, Baltimore had runners at first and second and one out when play was halted by heavy rain.
